でも、話しを聞いてみると
何もやりたいことがない、というわけではないんです

遊びたいとか
○○へ旅行に行きたいとか

目の前のやりたいことはあるんです

ではなぜ
「やりたいことがわからない」となるのでしょうか

彼らはその「やりたいこと」に
成果を求めているんです

何か立派な、大きな結果が出ることでないと
「やりたいこと」ではない・・・

彼らはそう思っているんです

成果や結果を求めたら
やりたいこともやりたくなくなってしまうよ？

やりたいことに成果なんか
必要ないんですよ

“I don’t know what I want to do.”

I often meet young people who say this.

But when I listen to their stories,
it’s not that they don’t have anything they want to do.

They want to have fun,
or they want to travel to certain places.

They do have things they want to do right in front of them.

So, why do they feel like “they don’t know what they want to do”?

It’s because they are looking for outcomes in those “things they want to do.”

If it’s not something grand, something that yields a significant result,
then it doesn’t count as “something they want to do”…

That’s what they believe.

When you start demanding outcomes and results,
even the things you want to do become less appealing, don’t they?

You don’t need outcomes for the things you want to do.
